brief history, my 10 year old son has mild cerebral palsy and learning disability, he also wets the bed 2-3 times every night.
we have always got middle rate dla since he was 3, but never mobility.
i am always honest on the forms and the last time the form stated "its not how far the child walks, its the way in which he walks" i told the truth and wrote that although he can walk however many metres the form said he either toe walks, walks with a limp and that he still struggled when wearing his splint.
i told them he was more prone to trips/falls etc and that he is no good on ice/snow etc.
we still got refused for mobility, the reason being "he can walk".
anyhow, ince then he has got a little worse, he has had botox in his affected leg and is due to see a surgeon in march to discuss lengthening his calf muscle.
just wondering if anyone knowss what our chances of a succesful mobility claim are?
