Just wondering if anyone out there can help with my current situation. My child tax credits was stopped before xmas due to an ovedrpayment. From begining of Feb I have put my daughter into childcare and costing £90 a week. I rang child tax before i decided to put my daughter into a nursery, and they advised me I would receive the full 70% help towards childcosts. Our joint income is roughly £28000.
When I received my new award notice it said we would only receive £14.99 a week for child care. When I rang to confirm this was correct, they said it was, as we were not entitled to any more help due to our income.
Does anyone out there know if this is correct, as to be honest it is not worth my while doing the extra hours, for me to pay the nursery.
