Just did calculations on the entitledto website and working I get £26,359.75 if I were on benefits I would receive £28,185.80 per annum and not have to pay school meals on top. Does this seem wrong to anyone else? I've phoned the job centre for them to do a calculation for me as I thought everyone was better off (financially that is) working if only by a slight amount. Waiting for them to get back to me. I'm not even considering being out of employment because of the social benefits but it just seems so wrong. Has anyone else done the same out of curiosity? What are your figures?
