Do I count as a Student?

hi I am working full time and doing a degree part time online.
I have to put in 12hrs a week for my studies.
I paid my tuition fees and enrolled on 1st june 2013.
I will get this refunded if I pass the course, by my employer.

I have a few questions, and I was hoping someone would be able to help me with the answers.

1. Do I qualify to get Student discounts on books etc?
2. Is the money I receive from my employer as a refund for the tuition fees, taxable at all?
3. Are there any additional benefits I can expect as part of taking up studying again?
