Tax Credit Payment

Hi there,

I have been receiving tax credits for a year now after having my twins. I received my renewal pack a couple of weeks ago and sent it back the same day. Our income had remained exactly the same as last year so I expect payments to stay the same.

I started my twins with a childminder last week (long story that involves a fall out with in laws that use to babysit whilst I worked) so called tax credits to tell them about childcare costs.

This morning I had a payment in my account but have no idea what this relates to, should u assume it is for the childcare element? I usually get my tax credit payment on a Thursday so expected my usual amount this week but now am confused as to what this payment is actually or.

Sorry if this sounds really stupid, I find all this so confusing. Am quite worried about money at the moment so am being far too impatient to wait to see what happens!!
