Sorry to be a greedy guts with 2 questions but when I search for answers to these 2 questions the answers are a few years ago so looking for a up to date answer.
Ok Question 1
My Brother -in-Law after years of being out of work has got a job as a cleaner on minimum wage working 10 hours a week I know you have a 16 hours limit and he can still sign on and would get his housing benefit but how is his jobseekers allowance changed does he still get it is it cut according to how much he pays?
2nd question
My daughter while she was working last year saved up to go to see relations in America with her wages. The holiday was paid for from her own wage around 4 weeks ago she lost her job and applied for jobseekers allowance online. The trouble is she has her assesment interview at the Benefits office tomorrow and goes on holiday the next day so for 2 weeks she cannot sign on. She is still going to the interview and will show them that the holiday was booked well before she lost her job and signed on. Obviously my question is what she can expect? will the let her sign on tomorrow or will the make her re-apply or perhaps she will get another scenario?
