My 26 year old niece was told by the Job Centre 3 months ago that she would need to seek work as her youngest was now at school. Having argued with them that she had no work experience, and felt she would never get a job ( her first child was born when she was 16), they still insisted that she would have to seek work.
Today, she has announced that she is expecting her third child, and openly has admitted that it's because she doesn't want to get a job.
My brother and I are horrified, and feel betrayed by her actions, we were always a hard working family, and she has really let the family down.
Sadly she will get away with it, I wonder if the job centre would issue sanctions if they knew the reason behind her pregnancy?
