Hello all, hope this doesn't sound too confusing.
I registered as a business as I was buying-to-sell on eBay whilst I was out of work, so thought I'd better keep myself safe. However, I've now got myself a job so don't do this as much. I turned over less than £700 in a few whilst I was doing this, and made a small profit in the process. (I've kept a spreadsheet of everything I did)
I've got a payment request from HMRC about paying NI, should I have to pay it? I've earned very little and obviously this bill has come through without telling them anything. I won't be doing much more (if any) of this now I'm working. How do I go about resolving this issue? If I have to pay it, then fair enough, just thought nearly £40 was a bit steep for a few months work.
Many thanks
Niall
