Would really apprecaite some advice, here it goes: Hubby left the Army in 2009, long service toured N.I, Iraq and Afghan, gave it his all. Since coming out, has struggled with civvie life, had a diagnoisis of PTSD, then issues with alcohol. Lost his job early this year, so we are relying on my income only. We paid for private rehabilation to help him after he attempted to take his own life, he spent time away from home. Financially we are now at rock bottom, our rent cripples us, along with ongoing bills and debts we are considering an IVA. He only returned from rehab a few weeks ago, so I have just applied for tax credits, and housing benefit, awaiting to hear from tax credits, and council wont process my HB claim until we have an award letter form them. In the meantime, we are broke, with two teenagers in the house, not easy. British Legion came out to see if they could help, two weeks ago, awaiting to hear from them . Hubby now on ESA. Is an IVA a good idea, any of you know of anything else I coudl be doing? I work full time, house is private rent, land lady cant lower the rent, have tried that. Dont quailfy for council housing waiting list. Thanks
