Just wondering if we will be able to claim for help with childcare if we have savings?
I can see there has been some info on if you have savings over 6k then this is taken into account but do they refuse to help with anything or do we have to use our savings to pay for the childcare until the money runs out and then we can claim?
Basically we do not have thousands in savings but we do have over 6k as at the moment money we have been putting aside/gifts for the kids are in our names so technically they will view as our money. The only reason we did not out in their names as I was not happy with the fact they will have full access at 18. Please don't think I am expecting to claim when I can afford to have savings.
I am due to return to work and will earn approx 800 per month, childcare will be 650 for the two kids for part time placements, therefore if we can't get help the savings won't last long.
