I have recently suffered a nervous breakdown and and now classed as serverly depressed and suffer anxiety.
I was working two part time jobs so was getting working and child tax credit. I have lost my main part time job and my other part time job is at the local school covering lunchtimes. I am not on contract with the school for this job I am used a cover for when people are ill but usually get around 1 /12 hrs per day which works out at around 7 1/2hrs per week paying around £30 a week, I dont get paid sick pay and I dont get paid during school holidays/bank holidays.
Because my hrs have gone under 16 a week I guess I am no longer entitled to working tax credits, so does that mean I go onto JSA? If so as I am a single mum with 3 young children will I get the basic lone parent amount of £71.20? If I am doing these few hours a week which are not guaranteed and I will never know how much I am going to earn one week to another and wont get any pay at all during holidays how will JSA take that income into account or will they disregard it because it is so little?
Just tried to go on the calculator on the web site but it seems to be down at the moment so wondered if there was anyone on this board who is in the same sort of position?
