OH on jobseekers since Jan and has not worked since. I am in full time work. Two kids: one at uni (21) about to graduate ans return home (jobless!) and youngest (18) about to go. I think he is on contribution based JSA for 13 weeks but unsure what happens after that. From searching the internet I note that after 13 weeks he goes on Income based JSA and that this is means tested. My question is: When they say must have £16,000 of savings does this mean solely in his name or does it include my savings as well? If it includes savings in either of our names will he still get his NI credited for pension purposes?
