Adv for sister

Hi,

Recently my sister split up with ex husband. She is not working and previously Housing Benefit was in ex name.

What will be the process for HB - can it all be done over the phone?

Tax Credits is currently in joint names - she will be ringing them tomorrow to cancel joint claim and apply for a single claim. Can the single claim application be done over the phone or will they need to send her to claim pack?

She will also be applying for income support. She has a child which is under 5 years. Will Income support be cancelled when the child reaches 5?
