Following redundancy in the Autumn my job searching has uncovered only temporary postions with agencies e.g. 3 month contracts with view to being extended.
My question is about maternity benefits for temp workers. Would i be classed as an employee or a worker? If i worked for qualification times and fell pregnant would agency need to pay SMP then claim back from govt? Or would i qualify for MA as long as worked 26 out of 66 weeks with 13 week earnings proven?
