Hello :)
Myself and my partner are on a joint Income Support claim which includes Severe Disablement Allowance. He has today received a letter informing him his transfer to ESA is beginning and he will receive his form in the next 2 weeks. Can anyone please tell me how this works? If he fails the assessment (which we are fully expecting despite him being unfit to work) what will happen to my IS as I have not as yet received my transfer letter. I am on High rate DLA (both components) and he is on Mid Care, Low Mobility.
We are confused because if he passes (doubtful) he will be on ESA whereas I will still be on IS, we don't see how this can work on a joint claim?
thankyou in advance for any advice, it will be much appreciated
