Hi, after a recent redundancy i was unable to continue paying my rent, so i decided to move back to my mothers house. I am 26 and i am very employable, but my problem is location. My mother lives right out in the sticks and the bus service is awful and has pretty much killed my chances of employment as getting to and from the nearest city without driving is a lot of effort (18.9 miles). How do i get a council flat? And is it likely i can get 1? I am currently on contribution based jobseeker allowance, but i need to get a place in the city or near it to be able to get a job.
