Friend has lost her job of 25 years when her company went into administration last week. She had her letter yesterday confirming her redundancy on economic grounds from the administrators.
Staff were sent home without notice and the store closed on Thursday.
The administrators letter contained redundancy claim forms and advised staff to claim JSA.
My friend attempted to do this yesterday but was told she must show her P45 in order to make the claim.
She doesn't have this. Phone calls to the company are not being answered and the administrators say they will be unable to provide a P45 or be of any help with this matter.
Her monthly wage was due on Friday and she has no money at all to live on apart from her DLA of £54 a week.
What can she do?
