My parents (68 and 71) live in their own house mortgage free.. and have finally agreed to put in a claim for CTB as neither of them work (pensioners)
I've been telling them for a long time about CTB but they didnt think theyd qualify, plus they live in the old world where they think benefits are only for disabled people - any by disabled people, they think of someone in a wheel chair. Regardless of the fact my mum has a heart condition.
Anyway, is CTB able to be back dated based on their naivety?
It works out they their CT will only be £45 a month rather than £98.
