Young couple with a baby on the way

Hi guys,

Me (27) and my girlfriend(21) have just found out we are expecting a baby. We both currently live with our parents and are looking to get our own flat or house through the local council.

I am working 24-32 hours a week but I work in advertising and due to the current economical state my job is really suffering. My girlfriend lost her job last year and is claiming Job Seekers.

I am wondering what benefits we are entitled for if we are succesful in getting our own place together. Or explore various avenues to suit our needs..
