Headline sounds great, doesn't it?
At first glance maybe, then consider how JobCentrePlus currently 'helps' people into work.
Essentially this article acts as early warning that they want to bombard you with spam texts that they want you to increase your hours.

It's all well and good that people should take extra hours to reduce their reliance on benefits, and hopefully many more will once they are finally in a position that it isn't going to make them worse off at the end of the day (as Universal Credit claims).
What I fear is that penalising people if they don't take steps is going to damage the progression/promotion paths for lots of people. If you can potentially get more hours elsewhere you'd be expected to take them, even though you have the potential for a promotion with more hours and higher wage where you are already.
It's also going to make it harder for businesses to train superisors & managers if they're going to be forced into jumping between jobs.
