Hi,
My partner and I are getting married in a few months time. Currently she is a stay at home mum because her daughter (my step daughter to be) has disabilities. She received DLA care level on the medium tier and carers. She also received housing benefit, council tax benefit and tax credits.
When we marry and I move in I will be supporting them. My income means we'll loose all benefits apart from child benefit. Also I was wondering will we be able to still receive DLA and Carers. As I am in a lot of financial trouble I need to try and plan ahead. I already have a DMP in place which will need to be tweaked and my partner might be able to find some part time casual work when I am home to help with child care. I read that as long as the carer is earning less than 100 pounds a week then she can claim carers. I was just wondering if my income is considered or is this assessed on just her income-which is currently nil
Thanks in advance
