Well the ESA50 has just been posted for the 3 year review.
I expect this question has been asked many times but I cannot find any reference to it.
I read on this forum and others that you have to send evidence in to prove the descriptors. I don't have any evidence about anything that is dated in the past 12 months so I haven't sent them anything.
How do you prove the inability to mobilise less than 50 metres?
Now I do have evidence of my many conditions, but they are all medical and more than 12 months old.
I've measured the 50 metres out on a field and had someone time me and measure the distance before I felt knackered. Will that suffice?
Last time I had the ESA assessment 3 years ago I wrote on the ESA50 that I couldn't do that distance, I told the ATOS assessor that I couldn't. But because I just about managed the 20 metres (ATOS had already measured it before hand) from reception to the assessment room, he reported that 100 metres was quite easilly done?????
I only ask this as if I fail to prove what I say, they will take away my DLA HRM which was re-awarded in Nov 2011 indefinitely after a review.
When I had my DLA review I had my old GP that was always prepared to back me.
Now that I have moved area to a new GP, I went to see the new GP who said that his practice does not want to get involved with anything to do with benefits - they don't agree with people claiming money for disabilities!! He gave me a long speech on how the welfare system is overly abused. So I can't expect any help from him!
