Hi,
Sorry if this has been asked before but I have been on mat leave since October last year and just phoned to renew my tax credits.
I have since heard something about deducting £100 per week for the 39weeks? I don't understand? When I called they asked for the figure on my p60 so I gave them my total earnings for last year but there was also an smp figure - should I have gave them this figure too?
What is the £100 deduction? Everything is so confusing! Also my partner and I are moving in together at the end of September when our house is ready, do we have to claim as a couple or can I call the office with a change in circumstances?
Also what will the income be based on as this years tax credits are based on my sole income from last year - will it be both our incomes from last year or just mine as we won't be living together until September this year?
Many thanks
