My husband works around 30 hours a week at the moment but part of his job is seasonal so come October that will go down to 22 hours a week.
I have had to reduce my working hours to 21.5 due to mental health issues (I simply cannot cope with longer hours and still struggle with these hours - I take a lot of time off sick).
When my husband's hours drop below 30 hours we lose our tax credits. I really don't understand how we are entitled to less support when our income drops :( We barely scrape by as it is.
Can anyone advise me as to whether we are entitled to any support from anywhere? Our combined income for last tax year was around £14,500 but will probably be a little less this year.
Thanks in advance.
