Hi all,
I'm claiming JSA and I'm supposed to be logging into Universal Jobsmatch (UJ) at least 4x per week. The thing is though, the jobs I'm looking for are never advertised on there and the whole thing seems a big waste of my time, I much prefer to use decent sites like Reed or fish4jobs (far more jobs come up), not to mention the numerous sector specific websites I check daily.
To me, UJ is just a big waste of time, so I just go on it weekly or bi weekly, and I've restricted the Jobcentre access to it so they can't look in my UJ account, which I'm fully entitled to do.
I always thought that its at your discretion if want to allow Jobcentre staff to be able to look into your UJ account and if you don't its fine, however - every time I go the Jobcentre they make a big deal about wanting to look into my UJ account, even going to my UJ homescreen with me sat there then saying 'oh you've restricted your account!' Its like, 'yes I have and I am allowed to that!'
Just getting a bit tired of it now every time I go to the Jobcentre, so I was wondering - can they stop my JSA if I don't allow them access to my UJ account? And I'd just like to check - am I completely in my rights to deny them access?
Many thanks, Richard
