I had a job which I had been in for a few months, but I had been having talks with my old manager about getting my old job back. He said he was happy with everything and gave me a verbal job offer and it was agreed and arranged that I would start back at the company in a months time. I then gave my notice in at my job explaining I was moving area to go back to my old job. I was also on jsa as I was working under 16 hours a week and I informed my advisor of the news. So I was signed off. 2 days before I was due to move, the manager from the old company called me and said the job offer was no longer available. I ended up moving hoping there was something I could do, but to much prevail, I was unsuccessful so I had to sign on and I explained to them what had happen with the whole job situation. I received my money no problem, but then I had to move again due to no job still and not being able to pay my rent, so I made my claim on the 27th may, attended an interview on the 29th and had my sign on date on 10th June, expecting my money to be in on the 13th June. Now I checked my account and there was no money in there. So I went into my local Jobcentre and asked what was going on and they told me there was a sanction imposed on my account due to my last job ending, even though I had informed them of everything that had happened. What bugs me is that the woman I spoke to said the sanction was imposed on the 28th may, yet I was not informed on any occasion I attended the Jobcentre nor have I received a letter. So I've now had no money for 3 weeks and for probably much longer but they won't help me out. What can I do? I've sent in a hardship payment form but that could take up to another 2 weeks. I can't borrow any money from anybody, I'm seriously running out of food, and I'm getting really down about it. Please help anybody!
