Income support and child maintenance

I am on income support as a lone parent due to having a two year old, I have finally won a court order from my soon to be ex husband to pay child maintenance. CSA are not involved due to the fact he lives outside the UK.

Will the child maintenance affect my income support?

I have been told that this will not affect my claim due to being a lone parent, as the law changed in 2010. is this correct?
