Going Self Employed

Evening all,
I am currently employed full time in a well known industry, however since I have been there the bullying and general nastiness of some staff is becoming unbearable, it is not just direced at me but to all staff on the lower level that I am paid at. I have managed 3 years there but I am making myself physically sick each weekend at the thought of having to go in on a monday, not on purpouse of course but the worry just makes me sick.

I have never claimed benefits and have no intention of doing so if I can help it, but I am so desperate to leave I am thinking of going self employed, I have already lined up work so should be making money from the start, my worry is if I am unable to match my currnent wage straight away. Is there any help whilst I build my work up?

The only benefit I claim and have ever claimed is wtc of 50 pounds a week and I get a discount on my council tax as I live alone.

I do not expect anyone to support me, I am prepared to work 7 days a week to get the business going, but being at work now is making me so sick with worry I just am desperate to be rid of the place.

I have witnessed the bullying towards other colleagues and it is pointless to say to report them, I have recently seen the aftermath of the sheer nastiness of when someone whistleblew.

I dont feel strong enough to deal with all of that, I am just hoping to walk away.

If anyone is self employed and can give me a heads up of anything I wrould be really greatfull.
