Confused about rent and housing benefit calculations. Maths help please? :)

Hi all,
I posted something about this a couple of weeks ago as we thought the landlord was overcharging us. We finally got them to admit it so future payments are sorted but we're so confused over arrears. I'm not sure if I'm doing the maths right again.
Basically we get housing benefit paid directly to the landlord every 4 weeks and the rent is calender month. HB used to be paid directly to us but we changed that september last year.
I'm trying to calculate the arrears because they say we owe over £1900 which I think is wrong.
It seems far too simple but all I've done is add all of the rent due since we moved in minus all the payments directly from us to the landlord (including the advance of 875) and rent increased to 898 from start of april this year so I have done this:
25 x 875 = 21875
3 x 898 = 2694
Total rent due from 1st of march 2011 to end of june 2012 is 24569.
I think this is correct so far?
Total paid to landlord directly by us from the 1st of march 2011 to now is 18755 (including months advance, which isn't a deposit)
Total paid by housing benefit to landlord directly up until 6th june of 4609.97
So total arrears I have from that is 1204.03
I know housing benefit is in arrears so I've calculated what would be owed to them on the last day of june (as payments are 4 weekly of 466.68 and it is next due on 8th of july) and that is 333.38.
So the total arrears I have are £870.65.
It's all very complicated with the rent being calender month and HB being 4 weekly. Am I right in thinking that the HB paid up to end of june covers all of june?
Time to rest the brain for a while.
Thanks!
