I've been on Incapacity Benefit for 8 years and DLA (middle care higher mobility) for 13 years. I've received a letter saying I need to change to ESA and worried sick over the horror stories I've heard. :-( Can anyone answer these questions please as I can't find the answers anywhere. Thanks you
1) does anyone who's been on long term sick and not sending in sick notes NOT get a medical assessment i.e just get changed over from IB to ESA?
2) when I got married they never asked for details on my husband's income. Will this still be the same for ESA?
3) if I get refused and I have to appeal do you HAVE to appear in person? I have an awful fear of public taking so do probably not appeal it.
