working tax credit entitlement query, please help!

Please help me

My circumstances are as follows...

annual salary £8555 over 16 hours per week i.e £164.50 per week
child maintenance from ex partner £69.23 per week (not by CSA)
working & child tax credit £188.53 per week
Child benefit £33.70 per week

£455.96 per week or £1975 per month
I have 2 children under the age of 5.

I am considering moving in with my partner who earns £38k per year.

I want to know how this change in living arrangements will affect my tax credit entitlement.

I have used the benefits calculator on the dir.gov website and it says my tax credits would remain very similar, however looking at this and other websites, the salary cut offs would indicate that I'd lose entitlement.
This is further complicated by the fact that my partner also has a 4 yr old who he pays monthly maintenance to as well as continuing to finance the marital home until such times as his divorce and custody situation get to court, hence a high percentage of his income would not actually come into our household. I don't know how they factor for these types of circumstances.

I also wonder where the tipping point is if I increase my hours at work. i.,e. at how many hours/what salary would i lose working tax credit entitlement.

I'd be very grateful if someone could shed any light on this for me as I'm struggling to find the conclusive answers.

Many thanks
