Hi,
From last November we have claimed pension credit guarantee. Before that I was claiming ESA based on my NI contributions. I used to get £210.10 every 2 weeks ESA and instead was awarded £440.36 pension credit guarantee every 4 weeks. Now for some reason the money is very rarely put into the bank without me having to telephone and wait a couple of weeks, sometimes longer.
When I ring up they tell me that there is nothing on their screen as it must be a clerical claim and they send an email. The promise has always been that someone would ring me in about 5 days which never happens. I have had to ring again and eventually the money goes in but no phone call. At the moment the last payment was made put in the bank on the 18th April.
So yesterday after two more phone calls, no money and no phone call back I rang them again and told them that I wanted to close the claim as I am going to go back on ESA instead for the next 2 years until I am 65. I have filled in the forms and sent them off this morning with a sick note.
Is this right with the way they are dealing with me and does anybody see a problem going back onto ESA? I know I will have to have another medical but I already passed 3 of those since 2008.
