Hi, I have searched the forum but couldn't find an answer.
Basically, I have been self employed for 7 months and claiming wtc and ct for 1 child. My profit for the past 7 months is £1200. I have renewed my tax credits claim and informed them etc. but they haven't asked me for any proof of income?
I'm just worried as I have heard of them stopping tax credits claims as some people are deemed to have not earnt enough for what they claim. And other people have had to send in all sorts of proof to prove they are working the minimum hours.
I claim for 16hrs and don't claim any child care as my mum looks after him while I work.
I'm just worried that I haven't earnt enough and the fact they haven't asked for proof or do they give newly self employed a little lee way and will ask me for all my invoices etc. next renewal?
Edited to add - I am working more than 16hrs a week, I spend all hours of the day working on my business but just am not earning a bundle yet :-)
