Just a question regarding Working Tax Credit. I started a new apprenticeship on March 25th and as it isn't an eligible course (Level 2 in Retail Knowledge and Level 2 in Retail Skills) for mum to continue receiving Child Tax Credit for me (I've just turned 19), I've been told to claim for Working Tax Credit and find out if I'm eligible.
I work 30 hours a week at £2.65 an hour (£79 a week) at a pharmacy, whilst doing my apprenticeship course and my counter course. I receive Disability Living Allowance (Middle rate care, lower rate mobility) for my Bipolar Disorder and Aspergers and the complications they cause.
I was told I'd qualify for the 30 hours and disability entitlement, but I've heard elsewhere I can't claim because I'm 19.
Anybody know whether or not I'd be eligible?
