ESA decision by phone

Hi, I hope you can help clear up some confusion for me.
I was rung by a man at DWP today, just after lunch, to tell me the ESA decision. I'm long term disabled with congenital deformities and I've been on high rate DLA since I was a child. This is a swap over from IS to ESA. I haven't had a medical assessment, but I have just had my DLA renewed indefinitely.
The thing is, I'd just taken some strong pain meds with my lunch and I was just lying down to sleep them off. I was really drowsy talking to him and didn't take in what he said. Now I've woken up and I really can't remember what group he said I would be in. :o
Would they put me in the activity group without a medical? I know some other severely disabled people have been put straight into the support group, so I think that's where I'll be, but I just can't remember what he said.
I'm not up to working, I wish I could, but I'll never have a "normal" life. C'est la vie, life is what it is, but I was expecting to have to go for a medical.
Thanks for any info.
