Unsure if anyone will be able to help but will ask anyway! Im basically trying to prepare myself financially for when my son turns 16 and wondering exactly how much tax credits/child benefit i will lose.
Background Info - I have 2 children 15 and 12. Im single and I work 27 hours a week and receive working tax credit. If my son carries on to further education nothing will change. However he is applying for an apprenticeship , if he is successful (which i hope he is) how much will my working tax credit be cut by? and i presume my child benefit would be halved?
