Help, am lost with if I am entitled to benefits or not.

Long story short, my husband has left the marital home which is in his name only, he is continuing to pay the mortgage (so far) but other than child benefit I get nothing and other than running up my credit card I need to claim something ASAP as 81.20 every 4 weeks doesn't even cover my gas and electric let alone anything else.

I'm not sure if I can claim income support though as I'm still living in the marital home which my husband pays the mortgage on, I've removed his name from all the bills etc but don't know how to proceed from here as I don't know where he is living as he is still getting his mail delivered here, but hasn't been round for about 3 weeks to pick it up. His parents have said he is staying with a friend but other than that they know nothing.

I don't work as it wasn't financially viable to continue after having our son but now I kinda wish I had continued working and paying childcare.

Any help would be appreciated. I am going to phone the job centre or benefits people on Monday but would appreciate a heads up before I do that.
