First Time Claimant - CHB + WFTC

Hi

With regards to claiming for the first time as my child is due any day soon! How long is it before you get confirmation that you are eligible and receive it?

I do not need it urgently, however at the same time I am applying for a mortgage and for the banks affordability I will need to include £2k of benefit (according to the website I am entitled to £8k).
