Just wondering if anyone can advise, as the person on the phone wouldn't say one way or the other.
I used to pay roughly £500 per month in nursery fees and had help of around £400 per month through CTC. Little one is in nursery for 28 hours a week.
Now he is 3 he gets 15 hours free. So now I pay around £200 a month and get no help at all (as the weekly amount I pay has obviously slipped us to earning over the threshold).
So before the 15 free hours I was having to pay the £100 balance and now I'm paying £200. It doesn't seem to be the right balance that because I've taken then 15 free hours I'm now worse off.
I asked the person at the other end if I could either a) turn down the hours or b) use those hours as additional hours and up his nursery hours but she 'didn't want to advise me on what's best to do'.
I'm very much appreciative of the CTC but surely the 15 free hours are meant to be beneficial? So I assume I can just up his hours, pay out more a month and then hopefully get CTC again?!
