Thanks for posting such usefull messages all the time.
I`m a self employed single mum that works as a language teacher. In a couple of months I am due to start signing on as my girl turns 5 (and consequently Income support will cease for us, due to the new legislations).
As my working hours are slightly increasing and are more or less reaching the 16 hours now (if I include all hours for lesson prep, travelling to students etc etc), do you think I should go into working tax credit? This way I would avoid going to sign on in another city with a child which is never nice..
My fear is though: will the Housing Benefit decrease this way?
Just because I`m not on IS anymore?
At the moment we are getting full IS as expenses for travel and promotion for my business are high: if my Income won`t change, will they keep paying me full HB even on Working Tax Credit? In general: will we be worse off?
