OK so I'm simply trying to find out if i'm entitled to WTC as since 2nd April this year they have stopped. Called the Tax Credit helpline and they said I am no linger entitled and this would have been reflected when they sent me updated correspondence back in August 2012 (when I got my wage rise).
I asked if they should have sent me a letter to inform me of the WTC stopping but they said no.
So my circumstances/details:
- Started work (after unemployment) in Nov. 2011, getting £18k.
- Work 35 hours a week.
- Got a wage rise taking me to £19k in August 2012.
- Was living in rented accommodation till July 2012.
- Living in my own home (father gave to me) since July 2012 (so no rent).
- Married and three children under five years old.
- Wife is not employed - i.e. housewife.
- No savings, or assets other than the house I own and live in.
- Currently get about £150 for CTC and £47 for CB.
So generally speaking am I or am I not entitled to WTC?
