Is Housing Benefit Sanctioned?

Hi,

I am currently on Mat leave and due to return to work in July, however, I've requested a change to my contract to enable me to carry on working. As yet, my employer hasn't responded to my request but, if they can't change my contract and I have to leave, will HB be stopped? I'm just not sure if it's like JSA in that I might be sanctioned for leaving employment.

I fully intend to keep on working or find another job asap, but bridging that potential gap worries me.

Please can anyone advise.
