Hi, looking for advice for my brother. he has been on contribution based esa for 12 months. Last month he was sent for a medical, no results have been sent out yet. He was told yesterday he has failed when he phoned to enquire why his payment had not went into bank.
What is the next step,? can he appeal or sign on for jsa, how long does it take to get any sort of payment to live on if he signs on.
We dont even really know the process as he has never been unemployed before.
The background at moment is, he is in parents spare room,suffering from severe depression with absolutely no income. My parents only have pension. Thanks for any info.
