I am currently Self Employed and receive WTC, but due to a change in my business circumstances I am considering reducing my hours which will mean I am no longer entitled to WTC. However I hope to increase them again in the future.
I have just read online that if you work for less than 16 hours per week you are entitled to claim JSA Income Based.
Is this correct and if so how does it work ? are you basically treated in the same way as a person who is not working at all. Do you have to sign on fortnightly and apply for jobs whilst you continue to work for 16 hours.
