Hi all,
I need someones help determining what benefits/ tax credits/ etc that myself or my partner can get as we are expecting a baby.
I work full time 38 hours a week and earn £32,500.00 per annum (gross salary). I am 25 years old.
My partner does not work due to disability. She gets Disability Living Allowance (DLA) which is made up of highest care component and medium mobility component. She also gets Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) and is not required to attend the support groups due to the nature of her disability. Her age is 19.
She currently lives in a Council flat and receives housing benefit and council tax benefit.
I currently live elsewhere however I would like her to get a house from the council that is more suited to her disability (i.e. not a third floor flat) and at that time I would move in with her as I would be helping her and the baby.
What are we entitle to? Can she get anything or does my wage prohibit us?
Thank you so much for your help.
