ESA onto JSA - Work Programme query

A friend of mine was recently transferred onto income based JSA from ESA as a result of medical assessment.

There concern is that they will lose the additional benefit awarded and entitlement to go on a IT course offered on the Work Program. He does recall signing a letter relating to the Work Program at the initial JSA interview but the letter received with regard to JSA makes no mention of his still being on the Work Program.

Any help/advice appreciated.
