It paid off!
I was on JSA and got a part time job less than 16 hours. Got to keep £5 and then it was taken off me £1 per £1. Basically I wasn't any better off financially because the £5 dis-allowance covered travel expenses. Plus still had to go through the rigmarole of signing on and accounting for my efforts to find full time employment. We all know what that's like!
I plodded on and kept my fingers crossed. Looking at the bigger picture.
Got a second p/t job and now the first job have given me more hours.
Both employers are being flexible and aware of my working 2 jobs.
My question is: I have applied for working tax credits and can anybody give me an idea how long it will be before I hear from them?
