My contribution ESA runs out on the 10th April, as my circs changed in Feb I was told I could apply for income based before the contribution date ran out so I applied in Feb, but then I was told I was given the wrong info and they won't process my claim untill my cont base has expired, I made a joint income based claim for myself and husband but there has been a total mix up resulting in me just getting £71 a week for both of us to live on (money is stopped for a loan I had) I have sent a letter of complaint but it hasn't been read yet.
Any way, I am due a payment on the 9th April, the day before the cont based runs out, will I still get this payment or will they not pay as its the day before it runs out? I am a bit worried about it as £71 barely stretches over a week, made worse now as I have the dreaded bedroom tax and council tax support to pay, so the thought of them not paying at all is very worrying,
I did ring yesterday morning and was told a supervisor would phone as the lady I spoke to couldn't understand what was going on as the information on the computer was saying one thing on one date then changing to something different on another date, but no one rang me.
