According to this table I am looking at we are entitled to 2,335 this year (joint income just under 20k)
Which means we would be given £185 a month ish!
Now our joint income works out about...£1400, which I get £140 benifits already (child benifits and tax credit)
So after bills we generally have about £500 a month spending money. Which to me is a decent amount for the fact I am on materinty pay and only have one full income.
I am also pregnat with my 2nd child, which according to this table would mean we would get 5k a year  when he/she is born meaning we would have £400 a month given.
So we would have an excess income of £940 just for having two kids?! (And working ofc)
We just don't need this money, I don't want to open a can of worms but I am not understanding why people are complaining about low benifits?
Or am I missing something and these figures are wrong? Is anyone else on a 20k income with 1 child?
