I hope someone can please be of help. A family member of mine is receiving SSP. She worked 16 hours up until Christmas and is now receiving SSP. She is awaiting tests and at the moment has no clue as to when she can go back to work. Her employer is being brilliant with her.
Do you know if it's possible she can receive income support in the mean time? She is a single mother with a 16 year old child in full time education (collage). She also has a mortgage.
We've looked at the benefits calculator but can't seem to make head nor tail of it.

Edited to add she receives working tax and family tax credit too.
